The Comfort Process

The buying process can be tedious and overwhelming, which is why we offer you a personal, one-on-one interaction with our team of experts. Our process of helping you decide on the right products and services is different from other companies. We care about your needs and listen to your opinions throughout the entire process. Your Comfort Advisor will be the first person you meet and the last person you say goodbye too.

Personal and Professional from Start to Finish

The process of purchasing a new air conditioning unit is hard work. At Schmitt, Inc. we do our best to make this venture as easy as possible.

  • Your Comfort Advisor will make an initial visit to your home to listen to and address any concerns or issues you may have.
  • Comfort Advisors are industry experts and will provide solutions to any problems you may be having with your heating and cooling systems. They will cover the entire energy envelope with you and explain to you your options. The ultimate decision is completely up to you.
  • Once you've decided on a solution, your Comfort Advisor will then turn the proposal over to our Service Manager. The Service Manager will evaluate your proposal and then make a visit to your home to perform a "pre-walk" of the area. The Service Manager will then put the job together.
  • A "pre-walk" is an inspection of the work to be performed in your home. This assures that all parts will be ordered correctly and also makes note of any custom fabrication or modifications that may need to be made.
  • After the job has been put together an installation crew will come out to your residence and complete the installation.
  • Our installation crews are usually a 2-man operation, limiting the number of traffic and equipment passing through your home. Our installers have technical level knowledge of all Schmitt, Inc. manufacturers and have an extensive knowledge of our products. The installation crew will follow all protocol including laying down drop cloths, wearing booties into your home, arriving in clean trucks and in clearly identifiable uniforms, ready to work.
  • Once the installation is complete, the Service Manager will return to your home and do a "post walk" inspection, looking for any issues with the installation.
  • A "post-walk" is an inspection of completed projects. Our Service Manager will do a thorough job evaluating the quality of the installation and assure that everything was installed according to county codes.
  • Finally, after the post walk inspection has been performed, the same Comfort Advisor that helped you in deciding which products to purchase will return to your home to educate you on the warranties and other vital information about your new system.
